Canvas 3 for Peace

This painting celebrates the biblical ‘Priestly Blessing’, as written in the book of Numbers (6:22-27). The descendants of Moses’ brother Aaron (the ‘Kohanim’) recited these blessings, a custom that still remains. This artwork includes a number of obvious, as well as hidden symbols, such as the following: the number 3, reflecting the number of specific blessings, and a Star of David, hand positions of the Kohanim, musical symbols, and hearts.
