The Rambam 13-14-613
This painting depicts the portrait of Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (Maimonides, or the Rambam), the 12th Century Torah scholar, physician, and philosopher. This artwork includes a number of obvious, as well as hidden symbols, such as numbers representing his 13 Principals of Faith, and the 14 books of his Mishna torah, a map of the Mediterranean indicating his travels, and an eagle representing his soaring intellect.
